Tending Living Things

So I’ve been interested in getting a pet cat, they seem fun and they like me. During the Covid lockdowns I would go for walks around town and befriend the local outdoor cats so I figured I’d get one at some point.

But the thing is I’m not particularly good at taking care of things, so I figured I’d work my way up to cat.

I started with plastic plants. I got some plastic plants from different places, I named them, and I put them around my dorm and then my apartment. It seemed to be going well.

From there I thought I was ready for some real plants, but I didn’t want to take too big of a leap, so I went with some succulents since they don’t require a ton of maintenance.

After having those succulents for about a year at this point, I think it’s safe to say the move from plastic plants to succulents was too big of a move.

I’ve decided that I need to step down and take an intermediary step of something like a robot vacuum.

I’ve already got a pet rock, I’ve had that for decades at this point, so I think this is the logical next step.
